OSAAT More than 1 fold

I just cant believe its December 9th !!! Christmas is soooo far away from coming together here at the Choccy household !!!   What with work... 2 more craft demo days to plan.. Oh my , i could do with everyday being 48 hours long hehe.... Thankfully i have a week off soon before Christmas... So i guess i will be very busy then too.

For challenge # 143 at One Stitch At a Time i had such fun using Stitchys 'Twelve Days'

A fantastic fun set of images... I used 10 images creating my card... I think it looks abit cluttered but i really wanted to use as many of these fantastic images as i could :O)
The images would look super fantastic as a set using each one alone.

This card is a biggie ... Its 2 x 7 by 5 cards attatched together.I then turned the front into a gate fold style. The DP  on the front and inside is by Molly bloom.
The stitched edge ribbon is a recycled piece off my sons pyjamas.It was tied around the top and bottoms :O)  After the images were coloured i used my spellbinders scalloped circles to cut them out.They were edged then using my Tim Holtz 'Festive berries' The stars are Glitterations by Anitas. Of course each image had abit of glossy accents and stickles on them. There is also a few gems sprinkled on there also ;O)

OSAAT and a little catch up

Well what a week its been here at Choccy towers !!  I still seem to be struggling with juggling my very busy worklife with my homelife... I could actually do with a time machine so i can go back in time a few weeks, maybe them i may just be semi organised for the forthcoming festive 'c' word lol..
I have a grand total of 4 cards made !!  So i see i have some crafting to do...  This week i went into town to attempt some Christmas shopping.. Thats all good when you know what people would like ... but when you dont have any ideas..... then its hard..I bought a few bits and bobs. But, i have hardly touched the list of things i need to buy.. ( once i am told what people would like !)  I see online shopping being the way forward again...   Add into this a big' works Christmas party next Saturday.  A pre Christmas house tidy .. A huge blog hop to organise.... Makes for one very very busy girl :O)

This week i had to choose an image from the very tallented IkesArt... Unfortunately i had a problem with blogger that meant i wasn't able to load this image onto the main challenge blog :O(  Joys of being DT  co ordinator ... Mine always takes a back seat...
Anyway hopefully blogger will sort itself out and wont keep telling me i have used too much storage ... if anyone can help with this please let me know..

OSAAT Challenge #140 Use a Digi

At OSAAT  today we have a fabtastic fun challenge for you.. Its everyones favorite ,..... Use a Digi

For this challenge i picked a gorgeous image by Teri from Delicious Doodles called 'Snowy Postbox'  now i think this is a perfect Christmas image.
Here's my creation

Please excuse how dark this picture is.. I wanted to try to capture some of the stickles that i have used on it.

All the snow has stickles on it. So it glistens like snow. I must say that i love this image !!! Its perfect for a quick card or you can take a little while adding more to your card. As i have tried to do with this one...

Choccys' Demo Day and a OSAAT mini meet

Well as some of my craft friends know. I have started to work at a stationary/craft shop.... Yes its a hard job but someone has to do it ;O)

I was asked by my manager if i would do a craft demo day... I said yes of course... Then secretly had a little panic LOL...  It was in place of a docrafts lady coming in so .... yes a fairly big deal and HUGE  shoes to fill !!!  So when i thought about it more, i was filled with excitement and of course more terror  hehe.
The day arrived that the area manager was coming to take my picture to go on my poster !! After working an 8 hour day and getting wet , rained on on the way to the bank.. My photo was taken and my poster was born..

So after being in windows and great big boards outside the store...

The day finally arrived.

 

Ive had so much support of my fellow OSAAT DT that i didnt think anything of a message this morning from my collab partner Mandy.... She wished me well and told me how brave i was.. Her message touched me so much.. I sent her a little message back thanking her and telling her i would let her know how it goes !!

 

The demo was due to start at 10am but by 9.15am i had lots of ladies hovering around.. So i started early.. Knowing what i wanted to create but having no time for prep , it was very much see how it goes.. The first few ladies i saw were interested in the Big Shot that was on offer ( i had taken mine in) So started cutting dies and embossing etc... All my Big Shots were sold out by 10.30 !!!

So then i set about making a countdown to Christmas... Well that took longer than i thought lol.. Bit it was great fun and it kept me busy.. In between making my countdown.... i was getting some art deco things together to start a few cards.. Customers were coming thick and fast.. But i kept my cool and handelled all their questions ok ........ i think.

I was sat colouring talking to a lady about digi images.. Someone walked in who looked like my teamie Mandy ... i put it down to me thinking about her after her lovely message... All of a sudden the lady turned and said ' Oooh you dont get that with our digis' do you Choccy ? '

It WAS  my Teamie .Mandy !!!!  She had travelled from Birmingham to Nottingham (80+ miles) to support me !!! Now thats team spirit !!!  Thats why i love the OSAAT  girls.. Thats why OSAAT  rocks !!!

The rest of my demo day was quieter,... which was fantastic.. It meant Mandy and i could have a cup of tea,, chat and try a few crafty bits we hadn't before !  Whats better than crafting with friends ??

Mandy stayed for a few hours, then it was time to say goodbye :O(

OSAAT challenge #136 Use a Digi

Well what a week it has been here at Choccy towers...... My DT  card will be here later today.. I appologise to my teamies... Heres whats happened... I made my card...  photographed it... sent it to someone... Came to getting ready for Spain... Deleted all photographs off my sd camera card !!!!
Yep you guessed it... i hadnt transferred the pictures of todays card :O(  
Oh my !!! 
I have been working from 9 - 5.30 every day. So its been 7pm before i got home ...

My image is coloured and drying then i just need to put it together later...  Pop by the Challenge blog and see all the challenge details and my teamies gorgeous creations....

Challenge #135 Music or a song

Well its Sunday again :O) So that means only one thing .... another OSAAT  challenge.  What a great fun challenge we have for you this week too ...
Music or a song ... So you can either make a music themed card or think of a song and create something to fit in with that...

Challenge #134........ Boo

Well hopefully my post has gone live at the right time and blogger has behaved itself...
As this goes live i am hopefully by the pool..... in Spain :O) I know i know .... a weird start to my challenge post.. But its my first holiday in a long time and its sooooo needed ... I can assure all my friends in the UK  that i am filling my case with sunshine and bringing it home...

One Stitch At A Time ...... Autumn

Well what on earth is the weather up too ?? Really cold at night and early morning. Then by lunchtime the sun is out and its warm.. Its getting dark too by 7.30pm .. Yes i think i can say Autumn is finally here.. To celebrate the change in season at One Stitch At A Time we have Autumn as our theme..

For this creation i got to work with Pookie Designs and chose the image called Nighty Night. You can get the image here.   I think this image would be just perfect foe a sleepover invite ? So thats what i made... You know the idea.. You spend all summer with your friends then have to go back to school, so you dont get to play all day... Re create summer with a weekend sleepover ;O)  Heres my creation.

To create my card. I used an A6  card blank. I used my scalloped nestie dies to cut around the image, then inked the edges. Of course i had to use glossy accent and stickles on my image. Then a little gem or 2. The embossed paper was made using a triboss folder that i picked up at work..  Yes you read that right ... i have started a part time job in a craft and stationary store !!!  I know its a hard job. But someone has to do it ;O) Its fantastic .... i love it !!

I kept my card to browns and oranges to keep in with the autumn theme too :O)

One Stitch At A Time for an under 18

Well what a busy busy week here at Choccy palace !!!  Boys back to school, starting a new part time job in the one place that most crafters think they would love .... A craft shop !!!  Yes its very dangerous  LOL

At OSAAT this week we are thinking of our little ones again.

I embossed a sheet of red paper with my divine swirls folder.

I then coloured the white of the silhouette in red and added glossy accents to the mirror in her hand.

After attatching them together i decorated with a few gems. I didnt want to take anything away from the gorgeous silhouette.

The card candy was added to the card just to balance it out abit..

One Stitch At A Time 128

Has anyone seen the sun ?  Its the last bank holiday weekend of the year and its horrible weather. Theres been heavy rain, thunder, lightening oh and of course some sun !! Ah well i shall have to spend it inside, crafting :O)

For this weeks challenge at One Stitch At A Time i have 2 cards to show you.
My first is made with papers by Oase of Panda Bear Designs called 'sweet melodies' and i used the silhouette images by Stitchy called 'The rehersal' . Heres my card

I added teeny tiny gems to the single notes on the backing paper just for a little interest.

Oh and i added some to the satin edged organza ribbon also.

 

My second card is using a gorgeous image by Stitchy called ' Butterfly love'

This was picked by my teamie Tracey.. Heres what i made

With this image i used glossy accents and sticles on her wings to give them a shimmer.

The embossed panel was using my butterflies embossing folder  I then used the teent tiny gems in green and blue to keep in with the colours i had used for the image and backing papers.

 

I love both my cards that i made for this challenge.

Just Inspirational

Heres my card for this challenge

 

 

I had such fun with this image.. Its brilliant. Ive coloured it up in a few different colourways and it looks fantastic !! This one will be used again

 

I coloured the image using my Promarkers. Then added glossy accents where the 'metal' was.

I then worked the card backwards using the white card base then i added a red paper. Then a smaller white square that i had added red ribbon too/

I stuck a doily to some of the red paper and then cut around it abit.

The circle fit nicely in the middle of the ribbon diamond.

The image and sentiment was then placed on top of that..

 

I do love the overall look of this card. Its rather heavy though LOL.

OSAAT #127 Back to school

Well what a strange week i have had this week.... Its one of those weeks that you need to give yourself a little shake and a kick up the bum...   The more i have tried to do the less i have achieved :O(   I have a pile of DT  cards that i will complete this week...   A few big decisions have been made this week so i suppose thats a start :O)  
Its been a week tinged with sadness.. one of my DT  girls lost her husband this week after a very very short illness..  I can honestly say that i feel as though it has broken my heart... I cannot imagine how the family must be feeling... Things like this always make me realise to make the most of every day... You never know what the next chapter of your life may bring.
All my boys are a year older ! Well its Lukes 17th birthday on tuesday. But Dwight is 22 my baby Ben is 13. Even my grandson Taylor turned 1 this year !!! Time truly does fly by

Talking of time flying.....its Sunday again... So another One Stitch At A Time challenge.. As theres only 2.5 weeks left here in UK ... I wanted a back to school challenge. So thats our theme...

I started with a blank pencil crayon tube. I bought it when Wilkinsons had a sale, so it cost 25p. I knew it would come in handy

I worked with Oases' (Panda Bear Designs) Education station papers..... I LOVE  them !!!
So did Ben ... who asked me to make him a pocket timetable that matched !! So heres Bens' pencil crayon box and his pocket timetable.

OSAAT Anything Goes

Well its been such a lovely sunny week here. My youngest son has been away at the coast with my mum and dad for the last 9 days... Hes back later today. So no doubt the quiet week will change and i will have stories of what has been done and said everyday .... It amazes me that he can remember so much yet when it comes to something important he forgets LOL,,,,,The joys of being 13 haha.

Tonight sees the closing of the London 2012 Olympic games. I  think i can honestly say. I have never watched so much sports.........ever !!! Its been fantastic... I can say that i have watched some iconic momements.. I have been sucked into watching these as i really am not a great sports fan ! BUT  i am so pleased that i have watched :O) Tonight is the closing ceremony, so i am looking forward to seeing that too... I have no idea whats going to be left to watch on tv.. The olympics finish today.. then Big Brother on monday !! LOL

Right onto my card for this week :O)

This week i have created with an image by Priyanka from My Heart Pieces.  As soon as i saw Baby Bees i knew i had to create using this image. Its soooooo cute !!! Heres what i made.

I loved creating this card and wanted to keep it very 'Strawberries' so thats why i kept it red,white and green.

I coloured the image with my Promarkers then added abit of stickles and glossy accents.

I made the flowers using the backing paper i had used. I think looking at them now i could of used an extra layer or two on there. But not too bad for a first attempt :O) I added stickles to the edges of the paper, just for interest.

I finished my card by adding 4mm gems to around the image. Them teeny tiny 2mm green gems around the flowers.

I do love my creation and will deffinately be using this summerey image again..

Here's my card for this week

The image is 'Lollypoppy' by Barb Jensen

What a great image this is !! I wanted to have fun with this image and make a play on the image name.. ( So i made a lollypop)

The image was coloured with my Promarkers. Of course i added abit of glossy accents ;O)

To make the lollypop. I used 1 large button and a card candy piece. I attatched the card candy using a foam round then covered the top of the button and card candy with glossy accents. Around the edge i added some stickles ;O)

I left my card fairly plain as i wanted the image and lollypop to be the focal points on the card. So i just backed the image by layering it up using a die cut deckled rectangle.. Again i kept to the same colours that i had used to colour the image, i just used different shades of them.
