Creative Craft World... Love, love love

Oooh now i keep singing that song from Love Actually LOL.

Can i firstly thank everyone for joining in with our new card challenges. The response has been fantastic and we do love visiting your blogs to see all your beautiful creations. Can i add that its VERY Hard to pick our favorites too. Which is a good thing ... just shows how tallented you all are ;O)

The theme this fortnight is 'Love' at Creative Craft World card challenge #3
But Lou has put a twist to the challenge... Its love using red, pinks and black.

We are sponsored this fortnight by Stitchy bear stamps. If you click on the logo below it will take you straight to the store.

Heres my take on 'Love' using Stitchys' Stupid Cupid who is available to buy here.

With a close up of cupid.. Whos been coloured with Promarkers. He has a tint of pink to his hair. Glossy accents on his glasses and arrows and cute pink wings lol. I used a sizzix embossing plate to make the red heart background and then used a fiscars punch to add the black scalloped edge card. So that it kept in with the theme colours.

At Creative Craft World we have a new DT member thats joining us. *waves* to Hannah
We also have Susi who has taken up a GDT spot for February. Susi won Januarys' Saturday Scrap Map challenge. So if you fancy joining in and getting a Guest DT spot like Susi... Pop over to the blog and have a look at this weeks map.. A new map is unveiled every Saturday.
The current card challenge is running from today until 15th February.
Dont forget to check the rules that are wrote right at the bottom of the challenge blog. We have had some enteries that were gorgeous but didnt follow the general rules so had to be excluded from our winners search :O(

Creative Craft World ' Family challenge'

At Creative Craft World its our final challenge of the year :O(

The theme was chosen by Sarah W. The theme that Sarah chose was Family and you have to use abit of metal....

Heres a sneak peak of my project

For my metal i used some mini brads, which were used to hold the name plate in place.

I started my project with white flowers ( Wild orchid crafts ones) Then coloured then using my promarkers to match the colours in my project. The flowers were then edged in Stickles to give them abit of bling.

The base paper that i used was Basic Grey. I added 2mm clear gems to the middle of all the pink coloured flowers. I also used 2 different Pink Bazzil Basics and 1 Brown Bazzil basics.

Die Cuts are Nesties labels 4, Sizzix Cattycorner alphabet and Marianne Ds swirls. The tips of the swirls were finished with 2mm pink gems.

Heres my finished Scrapbook page...... For my mum . Who has taught me all i know about Family values !!

My project:

I had such fun with this challenge. With the time of the year i immediately thought i had to make a halloween card. A few days ago i had been to a new found shop. It has fabrics, ribbons and a few embellishments. Thats it !!. I was drawn to the shop by the fabric/ netting that i used on my card. It was placed in the window against a bright yellow background and looked simply stunning !! I will be visiting this store again, so i can see that fabrics might be featuring on my cards from time to time. Not bad for a woman who has a phobia of needles and cant even sew a button on LOL.

I chose to make an easle card for my project. I wanted to be able to show the beautiful web fabric. So i took a piece of black 6x6 card and added a section of silver Miri card, then popped the netting over the top. The base of my easle card was made from a strip of 6x12 black card. I stamped Happy Halloween and matted it with Miri card and then onto the card base. I also added a stamped witch on a broomstick. The spiders were stamped directly onto the base card after it was all put together.

Stamps i used were MME Haunted stamps and are available to buy at CCW here

I had to use my little Magnolia 'Witch' stamp as i really love this stamp and dont use it as often as i would like. Shes just sooo gorgeous.

Heres my finished card taken outside in natural light

Then again inside

Things i learnt with this project :

1. Miri card is gorgeous. But , a nightmare to photograph !! If anyone has any tips. I would LOVE to know them LOL.

2. Children will laugh when they see their mum wrapped inside a red fleece blanket, attempting to photograph a card. It doesnt matter if they are 11 or 20. Its still really funny lol.

Thankyou for stopping by to see my project.

I cant wait to come to your blogs to see your challenge projects for Lou's Black, Silver and white theme.

Creative Craft World. Sarahs' challenge

At Creative Craft World its time for a 'Celebration' receipe challenge thats been set by my talented team member Sarah.

Heres the ingredients:

1 x image (stamped, digi or photograph)
3 x flowers
1 x ribbon
2 x different papers
and of course it has to be a CELEBRATION (don't forget to let me know why it is special to you).

The challenge is sponsored by 2 amazing sponsors..

Stitchy bear stamps is offering some super cute digi stamps. ...Ive used one in my creation :o)
and
A new sponsor as a new sponsor Inspire me Papers and they have very generously donated an amazing prize of luxury occasions box worth a WHOPPING £30!!

So get out your mixing bowls add all the ingredients, abit of imagination and a memory or two. I cant wait to see what you end up with :o)
Dont forget to add in your post a little bit about your celebration.

For my Scrapbook LO i decided on a winter/christmas theme. I do love Christmas. Well that should read i absolutely love the whole build up to Christmas.....
Ever since my eldest was little ( hes 20 now) as soon as we had bonfire night i would remind him that Kelvin the elf was listening for him being good. He was reporting all his good and bad things back to Santa. Well it worked a treat ;o) So i carried it on with my other 2 sons. In 2008 i found a gorgeous elf online ( he came from USA) Kelvin came to visit and he was sooo mischievous. One night he took all the tinsel off our tree. The next morning i caught him trying to hide in a big pile of the tinsel. He climbed the tree. Stayed up all night playing on the xbox360. Ate the candy canes off the tree to name but a few !!
On the LO i made a ticket that slots in behind the picture which has journelling about Kelvins antics. I added 3 snowflakes/ flowers to the top of the ticket so that it was more visable

I wanted the really cute Sammie Snowman digi image by Lexi Creations ( available here ) To look as if it was part of the backing paper, thats why i chose to use a white background for my LO. Heres a close up of the image.

I coloured the image with my Promarkers and then added stickles and glossy accents. I loved this image so much. It was really easy to colour. So i just had to make a card using the same receipe.

Just for a little celebration hows this ?
To help with the celebrations don't forget the Creative Craft World special For every order placed from now until Monday 23rd August there is a 10% discount and a FREE Christmas present!
