MSE challenge. Halloween
Melissa set this fortnights theme.. Halloween. So a great chance to use my much loved Tilda with a spider :O) Also my haunted house cuttlebug folder and try chalking again. I still need lots of practise with chalking but do find its a great way for me to make this haunted house stand out more. Its had abit of 'bling' added with my silver glitter writer pen and i added card candy.

CP challenge. Autumnal colours
This month The-wife set the challenge to use autumnal colours in a card.
Now this Tilda stamp is actually called Tilda with blueberries, but i think they look like nuts, so coloured brown thats what they became ;O) . I put both my oval and rectangle through my cuttlebug using divine swirls. Added abit of Jelly Tot card candy. Then decided to chalk abit, now i am soo not very good at using chalks lol. The orange oval was chalked over in bright orange. Then i used a bright green for between the swirls. I still have to add a sentiment to the card. But i havent decided its 'purpose' yet ;O)

MSE. Scraps and dies challenge
Heres my entry for the MSE Scraps and dies challenge. I used 2 smallish paper scraps that i had from making cards in the past. A cuttlebugged Haunted house and chalked bits of it so that it stood out more. Tilda dressed as a witch was coloured and blinged up. The dies were made by using my squeeze to make the ghost and BOO lettering.
What a great way to use up left over scraps :O)

New branch on our family tree
On Sunday 20th September . My mums cousin, Anthony.. Finally married his Japaneese girlfriend, Aya. What a Fantastic day we all had. Yes i had a hangover that has now finally subsided lol ( 2 days later !!) The ceremony and reception were at Tonys mums house in Billinge. Wow the whole surroundings were just out of this world.
The guests were treated to a heartfelt ceremony, which brought a tear to the eyes of everyone. Sadly Tonys father Sammy died some 20 years ago. Then again another loss 12 years ago when Tonys stepfather Granville passed away. Although there has been such loss. Tonys' mum ,Jean is now with a great man, Phil. It was such a joy to see that Jean had invited all her 'children' to share in Tony and Ayas' day. After the ceremony we all gathered at the front of the house for photographs, Lots of Champagne and canapes. Waiting staff were provided ,they were so friendly and helpful. Whilst insisting that our glasses should remain full at all times ;O)
We were called into the dining area and i must say that the company provided the best ''tent'' i had ever seen !! I will at some point put a picture of the dining area on here, when i get my mums photographs, Throughout the meal Champagne and wine was provided along with water for those who prefered.
Our food was beautiful.
We had a trio of seafood starters . Gradvadlax of Scottish Salmon with a cuecumber salad. A shot of Classic Prawn coctail and Thai scented fishcakes.
Followed by : Pan fried fillet Steak served with caramelised Shallots and a wild mushroom and maderia sauce with Chateau potatoes and a Classic Caesar Salad
And for dessert : Trio of desserts. White chocolate mousse topped with a dark chocolate swirl. Classic Tiramisu and a Pimms Jelly summer pudding with vanilla cream and a wild berry coulis
After the speaches, emails and cutting the cake. Guests were asked to go outside, again to the front of the house. We were treated to a spectacular fireworks display. Right well this just couldnt get any better !! Just as the fireworks came to an end. An ice cream van came up the road to provide us all with ice cream... Yes i managed one ;O) and had blood sauce and a flake :O)
Well we all made our way back to the dining area to find that it had all changed !! Another section had opened up and now there was a stage.. DJ and a kareoke :O) The ceremony section had been transformed to an area with settees and soft lighting ... WOW !!!
The night was danced away, drinks were flowing and songs were sang.... At 1.30 am we had a ride organised back to the hotel, which i can remember .... but i dont remember going to bed LOL
Sadly Tony and Aya have today returned back home to Tokyo in Japan. But hopefully we will get to see them both soon xx

More Saturday cards
I also had great fun with more of my 'noseless ones'. Can you see a pattern here with the cards i made ? I think i need to rename Saturday 'magnoliaday' ;O)
Edwin fishing was a stamp that i had seen and it had to come and live here. I searched high and low for little fishes but these were all that i could find. I dont think they look too bad though ?
The tilda standing in flowers was from the new Summer 09 set. The background stamp was a stamp i received in my alota grab bag,it just seemed to go with her. The little resin butterflies were from a back that i bought in a clearance sale.
Chasing Edwin is from the Butterflies set,as is the background. The background was coloured using my watercolour pencil crayons and Edwin was with my Whispers pens, apart from skin tones which are promarkers.

Thank You Teachers
Well today should be the last day of school before the 6 week holidays. I say should be as i was a naughty mum and let the Luke and Ben have the last 2 days off to go to Grandma and Grandads caravan in Skegness. As it was a last minute decisison i had to drop all the Thank You teachers gifts in... Ben loved having Mrs Kroll this year, well she has taught both his big brothers too :O)
The card was a Jolly Nation decoupage image. That was great fun putting together.
The post-it note holder at the top was abit of an experiment,I havent been able to find a paper crimper, so attempted to use my wonder board. Which worked.... Kind of ;O) It was basically a piece of card 8.5 x 3.5. Folded in half. Then scored on both side 1cm from center line. The post it notes are stuck to the right hand side.
The teachers survival kit was put inside a pencil case, handy for teacher to store stuff in the class too.
I also made a book mark that matched with teachers name on, papermania jewelled flowers and the same blue ribbon

Furrypigs' Embossed Thank You card
Heres my entry for Furrypigs embossed Thank You challenge over on MSE. I have embossed the pink paper, and the mirror card. The large flower is from Calico crafts and has a jumbo brad attatched to it for the center.I then put it all onto a pink card which was from my bargain WHSmiths stash.
Ive used this card for Bens school office manager who is retiring today after 25 years at the school. Mrs.Delves will be missed by all.
Thanks furrypig for the great challenge.

Christmas card challenge
One Colour Card
We had a challenge to do a card in just one colour, any colour could be used but just shades on that one colour. Well i was actually abit challenged by this card as it was a step out of my zone. I had to think about it lol. I chose to do a green card, using secret garden papers, used my cuttlebug to emboss some bright green. I even added a button, which i never normally do. All of this was even on a green card with matching envelope. Yes this truley was a green card.

Rustys' alter challenge
This started out life as a magazine holder and ended up as ..... well a decorated magazine holder lol. I did want to decorate or alter a cd box to house my cuttlebug embossing folders but what with one thing and another it wasnt to be. So i decided that my craft mags needed a crafty home. It was the first time i had ever set an eyelet, how easy it was with my crop-a-dile. I used my squeeeeze for the lettering. The magnolia stamp was very apt for today,as its raining. I used glossy accents to make the raindrops look more water like.
ATC draw
I was so lucky that i won a draw that Padingtondoo did following the June ' Feeling blue' swap. All the names were put into a hat and the winner pulled. Heres my prize, lots of beautiful 'strokeable' ribbons :O) Thanks Padingtondoo.

Crafty place stash swap June 2009
I want to say a huge Thank You to Lauren/ Salesadmin.
Its the first time either of us had taken part in a swap. I just hope that she is as happy with her package as i am with mine. I was actually surprised how hard it was putting together a parcel for someone else. All the time thinking i wonder if they would like this ? Its hard as we all have different tastes. Hopefully i managed to get it right. Lauren sure did :O)
Thankyou again Lauren x
