Another card for 6 challenges

Ooh this is such fun trying to do cards for multiple challenges :O) Heres my latest
I used a green card blank. I then distressed a piece of blue and green cardstock and layered them. The image was stamped for me by the lovely Dragonllew. I coloured the image with my Promarkers and then used stickles on the wings and glossy accents on the shoes and butterfly wings. The flower was made by using a strip that was 11.5 inches x1.5 inches. I scored every 1cm and then folded to make a fan shape. Joining the 2 ends with double sided tape. I had to attach this to a circle of card so that it would sit flat. I then used my nesties to cut a circle of green paper which was distressed and a scalloped circle in patterened card. A blue button was added to look as if it was the centre of the flower.

I would like to enter my card in the following challenges:

Here comes summer

Over at Stampin with the Dragon its time for Challenge number 2.. Here comes summer

For this challenge i used my new Lili of the Valley stamp, called window box. I figured that as the flowers were in full bloom it must of been summer ;o) . The image was coloured with my Promarkers and cut with my nesties. The backing paper was bought from my little local craft shop and i cant remember exactly what its called

Whooooo i made top 3 again :O)

Oh my !! What an exciting day !!!

Ive made top 3 at Incy Wincy again :o) Heres the card i made, that now lives with ScattyJan.
Its such a HUGE confidence boost to win something like this, especially when there was 68 other cards there.

Creative Craft World DT Fathers; Day Layout

Well being on the DT over at Creative Craft World has opened a few firsts doors for me.
When i originally started 'playing' with paper. I was hoping to start scrapbooking. I bought papers and had ideas. But didnt seem to manage to do anything further. I then started creating cards and forgot about the pages that i had so lovingly wanted to put together.
When Lou said that our challenge would be to create a layout, i think i must of turned a funny shade of white !! Heavy breathing must of set in too LOL.

All that aside i set to work and here it is. Choccys 1st layout :o) A page just for my dad.

I used a strip of a full sheet of Cherry arte Arcade. Alien invasion. I loved this paper and somehow wanted to incorperate it into my design. I cut it using my Purple cow cutter with a scalloped blade so it would blend in a little.
I searched for 2 photographs that had photos of my dad and tried to think of a title for my layout.
So that the photographs were able to hide some journalling i made a pocket at the back of them. But backing the photo in Bazzill Basics Yukon Gold ( as it matched the background sheet i chose with a few stars on it.) I then used plain white onto that to make a pocket. I cut tags using my cricut and used ribbon from my stash to be able to remove the tag.
I then used my cricut to do some of my title, part was wrote by hand using a white Inkessentials pen.
Making the page appear as if it was split into 3 gave me the correct feel for 2 photos and my title. So i split sections 2/3 off with navy ribbon from my stash.
Space rockets and UFOs were cut using my Quickutz dies. I used my white pen to doodle 'flying/movement' lines underneath the rocket and ufo's.

So thats it now ive started .... hopefully . There will be no stopping me ;o)
I hope you enjoy looking at my 1st layout as much as i enjoyed making it.

Stamping with the dragon

Naughty LOL
Over at Stamping with the dragon their first challenge is such a fun one, its called Naughty. Go to their new blog and have a look at the fabby cards that the DT have done. They are sooo funny !!
For the card i used the acetate that i had sitting here in the cupboard ( just to think i needed it sooo much at the NEC lol). I decoupage a sheet of the man sitting on the loo as i thought he was abit cheeky LOL (especially on the second picture hehe) To back onto the Birthday contemplations sign i stamped a happy birthday.
So there was somewhere to actually write on the card. I used my nestie to cut an oval that fit behind the man on the loo and didnt show through.
This was such a fun challenge to take part in.

Fantasty/Mythology

The theme over at Passion for Promarkers is Fantasy or Mythology. How exciting when i have just had a new stamp called Rain dragon :o)

I backed my stamped image in a light blue paper that has been cuttlebugged with my mesh folder. I thought it looked abit like a dragons scaley skin. The stamped image was then cut with my nestie circle and then i used a darker paper that matched the dragon for my scalloped circle.

I made his wings sparkly with stickles and used glossy accents for the rain and puddle. The happy birthday was stamped onto another nestie cut piece of card and then i added a few gems.

Blast from the past

When i very first saw this Mo Manning digi print i fell in love with it. Jack and Ginger are such a testiment to love. Their holding of hands and him surprising her with a bunch of flowers. Awwww so sweet !! Anyway i disappeared off then to a happy place ;O)

I coloured this image using my Promarkers. I used glossy accents on the flowers and Gingers 'Groooovy' handbag. The flowers were white e-line Primas that i coloured. Leaves were punched with my Nellie Snedden punch.

I used a square card blank backed in a brown and cream paper, i wanted to give an 'old' feel to the card.I added abit of brown ribbon since Ginger had her pretty best hat on .Im sure there must of been a ribbon or two on her hat ;o)

This card just shouted to me ' Young Love' now since im not young anymore... Its a blast from the past LOL

I would like to enter the card in Incy Wincys challenge #42 where the theme is blast from the past.

Black, White and Red

This card is one that i made ....just because !

I used a white card blank, with a smaller piece of basic grey red paper and then added a black butterfly and swirly leaf embellishment. The two embellishments were what i have cut using my Marianne designs dies on my cuttlebug. I added a few gems to give it abit of glitz. The stamped 'just because' i stamped directly onto the card using memento ink. I wanted it to appear soft and not stand out too much. I think i achieved the effect that i wanted.

I would like to add my card to the following challenge :

60th card

Mum has asked me if i could make a card for their friend who was 60.
All mum said was that she wanted a card that was blue and had 60 on it somewhere,
Now i know that this person has a motorbike, not a racing type though more of a tourer ;o) But i thought that this Jolly Nation decoupage would be perfect.
Mum and Dad were both over the moon with this card, that i made for them to give their friend. I just hope that their friend likes it as much as they did.

MSE Scatty Jans' Music challenge

Over on MSE card thread Scatty Jan won the draw for Paddingtondoo's 'B' challenge. So it was her turn to set the challenge. She chose Music as the theme.

Heres my interpretation of Music ;o)

I used my Allegro cuttlebug embossing folder and made a background. The stamped image is from Funky kits its called Rock idol. Isnt he sooo cute ? I added glossy accents to his sunglasses so they looked like real glass. I also put some on his guitar so it looked nice and polished.
The musical note is a quickutz die that ive had a while but not used and so was the ribbon...

I think he looks Rocktastic !!!

I coloured 2 images then layered up her dress, gloves, socks and shoes. I added glossy accents to her shoes and ribbon around her dress. Her tiara was coloured with metalic gold Promarker then stickles added for abit of glitter.

Creative Craft World challenge #5 Easle cards

This fortnights challenge over at Creative Craft World is sponsored by Stitch Bear Stamps.

Its to make an Easle card.

Heres my cards.... yes i loved using my image soooo much. I had to make 4 cards !!
It actually amazed me how much you could colour and adapt digi stamps ( It was the first time i have ever used them ) It wont be the last !!

For this easle card i backed the image onto Basic Grey, Green at heart. I added red ribbon as my stopper,so the card would stand up. The flowers are Prima,Love story. Kissing red.
I made this card using just black and white. I used my nestie die to cut scalloped ovals. As i wanted to change the shape of the standing up bit,so it looked a little different. I added black ribbon. The flowers were punched using my Nellie Snedden punch, i added glossy assents to 3 of the 5 flowers to give them abit of dimention. Prima e-line gems were added to the center of the flowers. The center scalloped oval has stickles in the indents to make it 'bling' alittle, but i also added a few gems to make sure ;o) I used card candy as my stopper so the card would stand upright. Being a nearly all black card i had to find somewhere that could be wrote on,hense the smaller white oval . This card has been sent to a dear friend whos celebrated her birthday on thursday ( waves at Sylphraven)
I felt the need to make a girly card too. So heres my pink version. With faux stitching as i just dont get on with needles !. I made the stand up section of this card 1/2 inch longer than the card so i could add the loops around the page and it would look effective. Burgundy ribbon was added to match the small amount of burgundy in the backing paper. Black gems were added to the card ,on the ribbon and i used larger gems as stoppers. On this image i carried the solid black onto the wingsand added less stickles and glossy accents. I think it looks really different.
This final easle card was a little trial that i wanted to have a go at. I used my nesties label 4 die so its actually quite small. On the black card before i added the image i dusted the paper with mica pigment powders. It gave the card a very subtle glint. The image i painted over with my new mica watercolours. I love the shine that it created. But it was VERY hard to photograph (hense the angle ;o) ) As a stopper i used a flower that i had made myself.I then added a few gems just so it shone more . :O) Overall a small but VERY blingy little easle card
I will do a little tutorial later this week for the flower that i made in my last card. I see some great posibilities with these little beauties :o)

Cowgirl's challenge #1

The first challenge over at Cowgirl's Sunday Stamp'en Challenge is to make a card for Mothers Day or Spring. Well since we have had Mothers Day,here in the UK. I opted to make a spring card.
My fellow teamie from Creative Craft World is a member of the Design Team here. So i wanted to show my support :o) (**waves** to Sarah)
The image is a stitchy bear stamp digi download called lil' angel. She has been coloured with Promarkers and has had stickles added so they glittered, her halo has glossy accents.
The flowers are e-line Primas that have been coloured with Promarkers. The leaves were punched with my Nellie Snedden punch. I added white satin ribbon and baby pink organza ribbon to the stamped area of the card. Then popped on 2 baby pink gems, just for added 'bling'.

MSE Padingtondoo's 'B' challenge

Heres my entry for our MSE challenge which was set this time by Padingtondoo. It was to make a 3 'b' card. With an extra challenge to include as many B's as possible...... Weeeeell Choccy loves a challenge ;o)
So my 3 'b' s are Blue. Beige and Bow
Heres my extra challenge ;o) 2 b or not 2 b ( as ive nicknamed it )

I started with a blue card blank. Backed onto MME paper in beige, brown and blue. That was then backed onto Beige Bazzil Basics.
The image is one from Penny Black. Showing a big black cat relaxing in a beige, brown, burgundy and blue bra or boob brace as i often call them. It hangs onto a bright red washing line with big brown pegs. Theres also a pair of big beige, brown and blue briefs and burgundy and blue briefs.
The bright orange and bright green butterflies have been blinged up using stickles. Ive added a burgundy bow to the card so that it matches the burgundy bow on the bra. Black 'bling' gems were added to the image and blue 'bling' gems were added to the card.
As the image was one of an outside scene i added 4 blooms to my card. These were from my stash and included. A beige bloom with brown bling. A brown bloom with blue bling. A blue bloom with brown bling and a blue bloom with blue bling. I then added a big blue butterfly so that it tied in wit the garden theme and the bling butterflies. I finally added 3 blue brads to the top of the card and doodled a bright buzzy bee around the blooms.

So thats it my B card with the description of the card that include 72 b's Well words beginning with b that are included in the card:o) LOL

C.R.A.F.T. Shaped card

Challenge #48 this week at C.R.A.F.T. Is a shaped card

My friend had asked me to make a card for her mums birthday. So heres the card i made. Its deffinately not square ;O)

I decorated the card with MME paper and ivory stardream card.
I used ivory ribbon wrapped around the handle and added abit of bling to the 'clasp'
The MUM was cut using my sizzix dies.
The flowers were Prima e-line white ones that i coloured using my Promarkers.

I had great fun decorating this card, it was more time consuming than i thought it would be. But i think that the overall finished card was worth the effort.
