OSAAT Choccy chooses 'A card for mum'

At One Stitch At A Time this week it was my turn to pick the theme.

Hmmmmm now what should i choose ? This coming Sunday its my Mums birthday , So ooh i know.. Card card for Mum !! This could be any card or project as long as its for mum.

I'm talking birthdays, new mum or UK mothers day is April 3rd to name just a few.

My DT card:

This week i was lucky to working with April from Reece's Scrap Pieces. I knew instantly which image i had to use. As soon as i saw Bathtime Lucy , i fell in love with her. Shes such a cuuuute image. You can buy her here. Its Aprils' Spot light week this week So if you buy before Tuesday you will receive a fantastic 25 % off her images.

I coloured Lucy with my ProMarkers. Then i used Glossy Accents on the duck. A few Gems here and there and then one of my favorite bits of this card. I coloured the bubbles in cool aqua then added white fluffy stuff and then i got out my heat gun and fluffed it up. I think it really makes the bubbles look like bubbles.

I distressed arond the card that i had printed the image on. Then backed it with some lace that i had just to give it abit of texture. The DP is taken from a pack of Dovecraft Back to Basics.

I added some gems to the scallops in the Craftwork cards card blank.

OSAAT .. Anything but a square.

Over at One Stitch At A Time . HRH Stitchyness has handed over choosing the theme to us Design gals... So for the next 12 weeks.. You are in for a giggle ;O)

My first DT card this week is a gorgeous image by Blackberry Lane Designs called Tulips in a vase. Its available to buy here
I cut the card at angles and made the front shorter than the back section. On the underneath of the card i added a piece of burgundy metallic card. I used my spor-pal to score line around the card adding abit of interest. I didnt want to use a DP as i didnt want to take away from the image. I coloured a piece of raffia lace with my Promarkers, then added lots of gems. Stickles on the vase and glossy accents on the tulip heads.

For my second card this week i was lucky to get to play with 'Sweet things paper pack 1' by Panda Bear Designs. You can buy it here . On my card i used 3 papers from the pack.

I didnt want to add any image as i didnt want to take anything away from the gorgeous papers. So i just added a pastel flower ribbon , a pink ribbon flower and lots of gems.

These papers are beautiful and i will deffinately be using them again.

Blog Candy Winner

Oh dear Blogger let me down this morning and didnt pre post at the correct time ( I think it was my fault with the actual date settings lol)

So heres my post again ..

I entered everyone who left a comment.. If the winner would rather me choose someone else as a winner then they can just contact me and i will do the draw again... Also if i dont hear from the winner in a week, by next Sundays OSAAT post i will redraw .

I wrote everyones names on a paper pad then cut and folded them. My 2 youngest took it in turns to pick one each from the pile. The one that was left was the winner. This seemed the fairest way to do it as they both wanted to pick the winner . ( Great idea Luke ;O) )

Creative Craft World .. Lets be square

Well this fortnight its my turn ( Oona / Choccy ) to pick the theme for the Creative Craft World's Card Crazy Challenge..
So i decided that i wanted to be a square ;O)



Anything Goes .. But your card must be a square.......Thats it!!! .
Use a square card and youre in ;O)

My DT cards : (click on images to enlarge)

For my first card i used AJ in a racing car. This image is perfect for a male card. It was so easy to colour and great fun. I wanted a bright cheerful card and hope that i achieved that with my colour choices. I coloured the card with my Promarkers and added abit of glossy accents to bits i wanted to shine, such as head lights or the crome.

For my second card i used Lazy Cynthia. Wow what a versitile image. I used it here for a retirement card. But it could be for a birthday or even a new mum. Every woman needs a little time out now and then .Dont we girls ? ;O) To make my card. I coloured 2 images and then cut out certain parts of the image and layered it. I used my flower die to cut out the flowers and added a few gems and glossy accents ,of course ;O)

The theme for our birthday bash is Pretty... So lots of Lace, bows, bling, ribbon , flowers and pins ;O)



My cards:

This week i have 2 Creators for you .

Firstly i have JLJ Designs: with a Beary Merry Christmas Morning available here

Ive made a wall hanger with the number 1 (of course ;O) ) My image was coloured with Promarkers. I added lots of embossed number 1's, gems and flowers all that co ordinated with the image.
The card was coloured again with Promarkers but this time i paper pieced the image. I used a fabric to make the curtains. But various paper and cardstock to make up the image. Tiny 2mm gems were added to the sky to make the stars.

My second card is a new image, Honey Bear Max by Lexi Creations. You can buy him here.




This image was super fun to colour. I used my Promarkers and added lots of 2mm and 3mm gems. I coloured some white flowers to match the ones on the image. I searched through my stash as i really wanted a bee embellishment ( to my amazement there wasn't a bee in sight ! I have just about everything else in the black hole that is my stash LOL) So i set to making one

I used thin strips of the yellow and black to 'quill' one... Not bad i think as i dont have a quilling tool LOL.. The wings were recycled from a Christmas tag hanger ;O)

MSE Margs' Water challenge

Over at MSE Marg has set us all a challenge after winning the last one set by CT1972.

Congratulations on your win Marg :O) and what a great challenge you have set ...'Water'

I coloured my card using promarkers. The water bubbles were coloured then i added glossy accents to the large ones and stickles to the small ones and bow on the babies head.

The DP is from a free pack that came with Quick Cards. Pink Petticoat, Vintage Rose Collection.

I then added a few 3mm gems.

My Cards:

This week i made 2 creations :O) With their being so many digi products available the world is your oyster.. Theirs so many styles of digi images and papers available at OSAAT . Why not pop over and see what the creators have added new this month.. You wont be disapointed.

My first card is using Lexi Creations 'Lilli holding tulips' . You can buy Lexis' fantastic images here This image was such a fun image to colour. Theres so many colour variations that you could use. I will definately be using this image again.

My second card is this gorgeous froggy.. Hes part of a set of 5 from Toucan Scraps available here. In this range theres also a scrapping set and i must say... that the whole set is fantastic. Again this little guy can be coloured so many colours that hes mega versatile.. I know he will be hopping onto my blog again real soon !!

Have you ever ?

Have you ever seen an image and HAD to colour it ?

Its happened to me....... As you know i am on the DT for One Stitch At A Time . One of the creators.. Bonna from Kellys' kids available here made a new digi image called Stitchy Angel.. Well i simply fell in love with her........ She absolutely GORGEOUS.. I just had to colour and create a card with her.

Below is the card that i made, i wanted to get as many references to stitchin' as i could.

When the Stitchyness knew that i had bought this image she asked me if i could send her a copy as she couldnt wait to see it 'made up'...

So i have emailed Stitchy and Bonna a photograph of my card and now i am sharing it with you.

I must say its one of my favorite cards that i have made in a long while.

Creative Craft World... Love, love love

Oooh now i keep singing that song from Love Actually LOL.

Can i firstly thank everyone for joining in with our new card challenges. The response has been fantastic and we do love visiting your blogs to see all your beautiful creations. Can i add that its VERY Hard to pick our favorites too. Which is a good thing ... just shows how tallented you all are ;O)

But Lou has put a twist to the challenge... Its love using red, pinks and black.

Heres my take on 'Love' using Stitchys' Stupid Cupid who is available to buy here.

With a close up of cupid.. Whos been coloured with Promarkers. He has a tint of pink to his hair. Glossy accents on his glasses and arrows and cute pink wings lol. I used a sizzix embossing plate to make the red heart background and then used a fiscars punch to add the black scalloped edge card. So that it kept in with the theme colours.
