OSAAT #103 Reuse or Recycled

Another Sunday :O) Another challenge over at One Stitch At A Time :O)

This week we are challenging you to either reuse or recycle something. Rgeres some fantastic creations over at the challenge blog. So i hope that you have stopped by there.. You wont be disappointed, i promise you.

For this challenge i worked with Oase from Panda bear designs where i chose this gorgteous paper set called ' Going in Circles'

With the theme being 'reuse or recycle'.

I chose to reuse.

I reused the card enverlope that i had left from buying a pack of little love cards. I took it to pieces and recovered it with a grey circles paper.

Then i took a chocolate bar and replaced the paper wrapper with a piece of the plain pink from the set of papers.

On the chocolate bar i then used lots of gems to 'bling' it abit

I punched out 2 butterflies adding liquid pearls to the body and stickles to the edge of their wings.

For this challenge i had a supertastic image to work with by Stitchy called Daddy Daycare. How cute are these guys ?

To create my card i coloured the gorgeous image with Promarkers then added some stickles and glossy accents...

I embossed some orange and blue plain paper with my big shot.. I love this folder its just so 'scale' like and i thought it was just perfect for this creation. I added a few candy dots to carry through the colours of the other dragons... perfect :O)

As the image was called Daddy Daycare. I thought it would be perfect for a Fathers Day card...... Plus *tick* one make off the list ;O)

Love Bugs

I just wanted to share my little valentines makes.. They were my little gifts to the boys.

I used my nesties, red card, white card a scrapbooking pen and a few love bugs that i bought from Sainsburys. There was 10 in the net for 99p. So a bargain and they taste yummy !!!

I also made some little matching cards. But used a wooden heart that i had coloured with my promarkers and covered with glossy accents. But i used the same circles as i did for the love bugs. They were built up then placed onto a c6 scalloped card

OSAAT 'Digi or dont' challenge #101

I must say that this week has been one i have been glad to say goodbye too !.. For the last 8 days i have been a poorly choccy :O( . What with an ear infection which meant that i couldnt even stand up, let alone i wasn't able to craft :O( or eat not even a little piece of chocolate ... Oh dear i have felt sorry for myself. Local takeaways have loved me this week though :O)
Anyway on Saturday i managed to get an emergency appointment and i have antibiotics :O) Its amazing how much better i feel already.

So then now my only casualty is my poor DT card for OSAAT this week. Its not 100 % finished... But ...its nearly there ;O)

This week the theme is 'digi or dont'. Meaning use a digi or dont use one at all.
I worked with a set by Stitchy..A digi image and gooorgeous digi papers. You can get bunny blu set here A fantastic set of 4 papers and a cuuute bunny image.

Just Inspirational..... week 16

Heres the card that i made.

Oooh this was fun to make. I coloured the image using my promarkers,then added some glossy accents.

I used my triboss folder to make the red paper section. Then added recycled ribbon that was off a jumper.. The bow and pearl embellishment is from my stash as is the sentiment.

Another sunday and theres still some snow on the ground.. Well in certain parts of the floor anyway.. Its froze over a few times too and my driveway is like a skating rink at the moment, even with grit on it !!

I coloured the image with Promarkers then added some glossy accents.

I tribossed a piece of red card and added it to a white card blank. Then i used my scalloped ovals to cut around the image then the next size up with plain red card. I finished the card with some large clear gems.

Just Inspirational Week 15

Ooooh how exciting .. My first DT post for Just Inspirational Challenges now my term on the DT doesnt really start until next week... But i was sooo excited , i couldnt wait to join in with the new team over at Just Inspirational :O) lol.

Here's your inspirational picture for this week

Anyway on to my card...

To make my card i used
A goooorgeous wedding stamp by LOTV.Which i coloured with my Promarkers then added some gold pen, glossy accents and stickles. I mounted the image onto red card then i embossed a piece of stardream ivory card and backed that with red card also. I added faux stitching in gold to the red card.
For the flowers.I picked out a few from the inspirational photo then tried to replicate them as best as i could. I wanted to pick up on the flowers used along with the colours. The leaves were created with my MS Frond punch.
I them added my card to a pale lemon card blank and added black faux stitching to the whole card. Its the first time that i have used pictures to inspire my cards.By trying to pick up colours from the inspirational photo.. i hope that i have managed ok ?

OSSAT #99 'With Love'

Brrrrrrrrrrrr Good Morning from a very white and cold part of UK. Yes we were also effected by the snow that was forecast to sweep most of England over the weekend. It started here about 3pm and was still snowing just after midnight..Lets hope that its milder today so that we can all get back to normal as quickly as possible.
The buses here stopped at 8.30 pm as the roads were just too dangerous for the drivers. Meaning son #2 had to walk home just over 1 mile. Whilst son #1 was in the next town over an hours drive away !! Yes thankfully they made it back safe and sound all be it, 4 hours after they left there lol.. Hope everyone is staying safe and warm xx

Anyway on to my post for today... With just 9 days left until Valentines day. Over at One Stitch At A Time our theme is 'With Love' Now you can interpret that any way you wish.

OSAAT #97 Round & Round

Yay !! Its Sunday ... Now if you are like me you dont really like Sundays ? Well its Monday tomorrow :O( So its back to school and work . Not fun !!

I coloured this fantastic image called 'Fun in the Jungle' by Lil Diva twice. Then i used my nestibles to cut out different size circles for 3 of the faces. Then cut out circles from my animal print card. I even used big round gems. Rounded off the corners of the image and used a rounded edge/scalloped card hehehe...

Scatty Jan has posted an easy fix on her blog. So hopefully she wont mind me posting it here for all to see

The easy fix is:

Comments

Comment Placement - You have to untick the radio button next to Embedded Comments and select 'Pop Up' instead.

This will fix it :) And will allow people to see your blog properly and leave comments. Hope this helps anyone having the same problems.

Edited to add: This will only fix the issue on your own blog, you cant change what you see on others blogs obviously, and this could affect quite a few blogs :(

OSAAT Happy New Year

Wow its 2012 !!! Where did last year go ?

Creative wise ... Stitchy trusted me to be her DT cordinator over at OSAAT :o) Ooooh what an honour !! A role that i LOVE ... Oooooh and through OSAAT i got to see my cards in a magazine :O)

I took control of the card challenges over at CCW also.. Whilst Lou had another gorgeous scrummy daughter named Daisy..

Talking of scrummy things .... I was made a Grandma ( Noonie) in July ... So over all not a bad year i suppose ?? All the bad things can be forgot now... New Year , New Start and this year WILL be better healthwise !!!

OSAAT New Challenge

Oooh another Sunday ... these are flying past far too quickly for my liking lol.

This week has been another ...one of those.. I still haven't managed to find that time machine :O( lol Yesterdays grocery shop was fun.. I did a little bit at one end of town..... then walked past the craft shop, noticed a big board about demonstrations and well lets say the rest / shopping was history LOL.. Promarkers are not edible either but i needed a new Cocoa one ;O) A tub or 2 of glitter is a MUST at this time of year....right ? lol Yes i am a true crafter lol

My card for One Stitch At A Time has changed 3 times this week !! I first made a cookie bag and tag. Then a card.. Then another card with my yesterday purchases.. I was going to add cookies to the bag but i was in that much of a rush after mt craft spree i forgot to buy cookies.. and i havent had the time to make any :O( So i will try and pop my cookie bag on here later in the week..

Sunday again !! Where on earth does time go ? Its getting nearer and nearer to that word that begins with 'C' ... I am trying not to say it , if i do it might come quicker lol. I still have so much to do... This being poorly has really really thrown me this year.. I just now have the task of trying to catch up .... Anyone seen a time machine i can borrow to get 4 weeks back ? or even extend my days to 48 hours ? ;O) lol

I made this card using an 8 x 8 card blank.. So its a large one :O)

The image on the inside is a negative of the one on the front. I added liquid pearls to their teeth and glossy accents to their eyes and abit of grey to their slightly spikey spikes..

Wow where did that week go ?? Ive spent most of my week lying on the sofa poorly :O( I am feeling a little bit better now. So i am hoping that i am now on that road to recovery...

Well as i said its been a week since my last blog post. So that means its time for another challenge over at One Stitch At A Time :O)

This week we have been asked to 'Emboss It' .. So thats heat or dry embossing..

This week i got to work with Sylvie...I chose Grace Oh my what a beautiful image to work with.... I will deffinately be using her again.

To make my card . I coloured the image with Promarkers. Then added fluffy stuffy to the fur on her hood. When it was fully dry and settelled i added some stickles too.. I added tiny blue gems to the centre of the snowflakes. I backed the image onto a dark blue card that i had run through my Big Shot with my snowflakes folder.. I then distressed the edges and ran over some of the snowflakes with my nail file.. Yes i use a nail file to distress things lol. My ribbon was from my stash and i was amazed how close a match it was to the colour i chose for Grace's coat. The sentiment was from Craftwork cards.

Well thats it from me this time ... yes short and sweet ;O)

This week i was lucky to work with 2 creators ... Firstly Stitchyness herself..

I chose to use 'Santas' list'

This image asked to be made into tree decorations... so thats what i did.

I am going to take a better picture today.

In the 'list' space i am going to write Ben's most wanted gift this year !! I thought these would be a great keepsake to look back on :O) Ive also made one for my Grandson Taylor, although this year it may read wrapping paper ;O)

To create this card i printed t rex out A5 size. Then i attatched it to my card blank and cut out the shape again Just to make sure that the card opened ok ;O)

To the eyes i added some glossy accents to make the eyes abit more glassy Oooh i hope Taylor asks for dinosaur invites when he is older :O)

This week i got to work with June from Dezinaworld.. Junes images will be in store soon.. I use 'mad here'

My card was made by colouring the image with my Promarkers. I added abit of glossy accents also. The card blank was put through my Big Shot inside a divine swirls embossing folder. I then added some small cards as embellishments. A small sentiment and a few gems..

That was it ............a Good Luck card for a male :O)

I also made a card for this weeks mini Newsletter 'Meet a Creator' who was Bonna from 'Kelley's Kids'.

To make this card.I coloured my image with Promarkers,then added glossy accents to the bird and stickles to her wings. Ooh i used a gold Pen for her Halo. I backed the image with cream and dark brown card then placed it onto a DP and then a 6x6 Scalloped card blank.

To make my flower embellishment i used my Scor-pal and a button for the centre of the flower. I then used a brown flower button in the opposite corner to create balance..

I can see this card being made in LOTS of different colours ! Its such a sweeet image !!

For my DT card this time i have used an image by Stitchy Bear herself.. Its called 'Pumpkin Avenue' and available to buy here . I adore this image and after printing her out 4 times and of course colouring all of them in. ;O) I decided on one colourway.. It was such a hard choice though as shes just sooo cute !!, in any colour !!

To make my card i used my haunted house cuttlebug folder on black card. Then highlighted parts of it with Mica powders. I added some spookalishious spotted ribbon and that was about it :O)

Heres my DT card for this week

I wanted to make the card as simple as i could to show off the gorgeous image. I printed 2 of the image then layered up her hat. I added some black and white ribbon to a black card blank. Then the image . Of course it needed abit of bling so i gave it a few gems. Then those sweet bows with pearls attatched. I added a white square to the inside of the card so that a message could be wrote.

The image was coloured with Spectrum Noir pens which is my 'new' element.

Also the gems that i used are a new pack of large red gems that i bought from my local craft store.

I coloured my raffia lace with the pens also. Then finished off the flower with stickles and glossy accents.

Just how scary is it taking over a long standing Challenge blog with 650 + followers ... Lots of DT members (20+) and over 15 Creators ???
Answer :: Absolutely TERRIFYING !!!

Today saw my first challenge post at OSAAT , well the challenge post goes live tomorrow but ive just done the post now... Even though Stitchyness is absolutely fantastic, i am sooo worried that i made a boo boo lol.. I hope that i havent because i really don't want to let the team down... They are such a fantastic bunch !!

Anyway on to my challenge card..

For this weeks challenge i got to work with Barbara Jensen.. Ooh i love her images ! I used 'Fluff' again, shes one of my favorites, can you tell ?
Heres my card that i created:

The theme is 'Anything Goes' So a great easy one that all card makers can enter :O)

I coloured the image using my Promarkers and gold pen.. Note : No Stickles !! Now thats a first lol... I backed the image onto a gorgeous dark turquoise card. Then i used the same card to make a large section on the card. But i put some gorgeous backing paper from Craftwork cards inbetween. I had some gold card candy that i thought would look perfect on the card.. So on it there it went.. The sentiment was one i found in my sentiment box. It was again perfect for the card. Which i made for my hubby whos birthday it was on Friday :O)

Creative Craft World 'Button It'

My card was created all around me wanting to use the hessian on my card.. Oh and my much loved raffia lace, although i actually left it as it was and didnt colour it with my promarkers. I used a mixture of cream and darker brown papers to build my card up. The flowers were punched using my Marianne Designs punches and my MS frond punch as the leaves. I coloured the image using my Promarkers and of course every angel needs Stickles on her wings ;O) Oh and angels need a few gems here and there also :O)

What a day :O( OSAAT and some super news !!!

Only a little post from me today until i can get back on my laptop...

My laptop charger has gone to the big technology dump in the sky.. It broke :O( So i am using our house computer which Noah borrowed to count the animals into his arc LOL..

I will be back later today with my One Stitch At A Time post for today..

But in the meantime i will share my super super exciting news...
I am taking on a new role at OSAAT ;O) Todays post says Thankyou to Marjo (DPH or dutchess as she is known ;O) ) Marjo is standing down as DT Coordinator. Thankfully she is still staying on the team, so we wont miss her too much :O)

I just hope that the new DT Coordinator can live up to the great standards that she has set !!! I think they are going to be busy as a bee checking that everything goes as smoothly as it can for the rest of this very large team !!

So if you dont see me about as often ................ Thats why ;O)
I am the new DT coordinator :O) :O) :O) I am sooo excited . Thankfully Marjo will still be about if i have a Choccy panic moment or make any silly mistakes hehehe.. But i hope that all will go smoothly..I have had so much help already from Marjo.. So a great big Choccy thankyou and hug from me to Marjo.. I am just thankful that my Laptop cable decided to break this week and not next !!!

This week i was asked to work with Tami from Gingerloft. As soon as i saw furry catterpillar i knew what i wanted to make ! This gorgeous image reminds me of 'The hungry catterpillar'

Heres my library set. Made up of a bookmark, a name plate to go inside your favorite book, a book bag tag and a Library card holder that ties up with ribbon. It has room for name and class inside and the card is kept nice and safe inside the folds..

I really loved making this set. The images were coloured using my Promarkers, of course i used lots of glossy accents too ;O)

I had a photo that was my Grandad with my 3 sons and my cousins twins taken in 2008. Its the only photo that we have with all 6 of them on.. 4th Generation .

This week i worked with Glitterbabe and got to work with her 'scardy cat' .. I adore this image !! I left it nice and plain apart from abit of stickles on the stars... Well stars shine right ? ;O)
Heres my card for this week

My card is a scalloped 5x7 card blank. I added a black rectangle then i embossed some orange bright paper with my spiders web folder. I used some green paper which was cut with my nesties. The only other addition was purple gems and a green brad.

Come and Get it............. are sketchy

Theres a super sketch to follow this week at Come and Get It challenges.. After my card was sooo kindly picked as a top 3 last week :O) I just had to join in again.

I decided it was a perfect sketch to make a birthday card for my grandad, who will be 87 years young... Grandad used to be a bomb aimer in the RAF ( Royal Air Force ) He still has such a love of planes.. This image by Teri at Delicious Doodles was perfect for him.

I coloured the image with Promarkers using 5 warm greys and 3 cool greys.. Yes there is 8 different greys on my card !! I backed the image onto black card. Then onto a blue DP and then again onto blue card before backing it onto my card. I highlighted bits of the plane with my silver markers pen.. I used peel offs to write grandad and i really must practise alittle more in getting them straight LOL.. I suppose it adds to the appeal of the card ;O)

When i saw this fantastic image i knew this card would be perfect for lots of grannys'. Its adorable.. I printed out the background using a free bingo card maker. Then used my MS punch to place the dabber marker mark. The image was coloured with Promarkers.

My second card is from my boys to their Grandma and Grandad. Just because their granny and grandad are 'out of this world' !! I loved this image and my son Ben cant wait to share the card with Grandad. I made the card on an 8x8 card blank. Using my Big Shot to emboss the start background.. I wanted to keep to bright bold and cheerful colours on this card. To act as a reminder of the fantastic time they have had at the Seaside with them over this summer holiday.

OSAAT 'Make it sparkle'

Ooooh its sunday again .... Sundays mean One Stitch At A Time.

This week we would like you to 'make it sparkle'. Now we all love abit of bling now and then dont we ? I know i do :O) The sponsor this week is Joanna Sheen, who is giving 1 lucky winner £10 to spend instore.

This week i got to work with HRH Stitchyness herself :O) Now as soon as i saw her 'Flight of Fantasy' silhouette. I just knew i had to use that image.. Its adorable !! You can buy it here.

Heres my DT card for this week

I used a 6x6 scalloped edge card to create this one. I wanted to pick up the colours that printed with this silhouette, hense the purple paper ribbon and the pink shaped card. I used my nesties to cut the white glittered card and a different one to do the pink shape. I left the image as it was apart from me adding abit of stickles to her wings. Heres a close up of the image.

I cut the pink and silver flowers with my punch then added stickles to the pink flowers. I used my MS frond punch to cut the leaves. Then of course to give it sparkle that was sparklier than a sparkler :O) I had to add some gems and then i added a few more...

I was super lucky in this challenge and got to work with 2 creators. Stitchy herself and Teri from Delicious Doodles. Here is the cards i made.

Using Stitchys' 'Sweet Pea' image.

I coloured the image using my Promarkers, then added glossy accents to the flowers and stickles around the inside of the pea pod.. Well babies are magic .... right ? I found the perfect pea DP which was sent to me in a stash swap so i am not sure what its called, sorry..The image was backed with a dark green bazzil basics card and then onto the pea DP. The stamp was from LOTV. This super image is great for boy or girl cards.

Using Delicious Doodles, ' Strawberry Cupcake' image

The image was again coloured with my Promarkers and stickles added to the icing for abit of yummy magic. I passed my card through my Big Shot using my swirls folder to match the swirly shiny cream ontop :O) I added a few strawberry sparkle gems to my card to give it abit more glitz. I also added a piece of checked DP that matched the 'cake' colour... Since making this cupcake card i have made a few more and they all look good enough to eat ;O)

My DT card

For this challenge i was asked to work with Sue from Beary Dust Stamps. The image that i used is called Krizza and is available here . She was a dream to create a card with. Heres what i made.

I used my Promarkers to colour the image. MS punch to create the doily lace strip and the flower leaves. The flower, sentiment and card candy were all from Craftwork Cards. I backed the image onto Bazzil basics card then distressed the edges. I hope you have enjoyed your visit and my creation.

Over on MSE Sadie204 challenged us to make a card with animals.... Birds are animals right ??

I just has to use my new Stampin up punch ... Thats why i sooo wanted to to do a bird ;O)

I used my big shot to emboss the 'Thanks' and row of 'Bubbles'.. I used mica powders over the bottom of the card and its sooo shiny.. But the light is really bad and i have to get the card posted tonight to sorry about that :O( ..
I dooo LOVE my new punch.. So think it will be turning up a few times on my makes :O)

My Cards this week

For this weeks challenge I made an invite, Well actually quite a few ;O) This challenge fell just right for my eldest sons 21st birthday ;O)

So when i was asked to work with an image from The BIG Stitchy herself I had to choose this 21st image.. It was perfect !!! You can buy the image here.

I was also lucky enough to work with some die cuts from Crimson Cloud.. These were adorable and i had to use them all ;O) So this card is a whopper at 8x8... I of course decorated the inside too :O)

I made my card this time using Bradley and Dilbert the Dragon with gifts.. Its sooo cute and ideal for boys birthdays i thought.

Ive added Stickles to his wings and glossy accents to the gift.. Its coloured with my Promarkers and i used ribbon as my sentiment.

Ive made a few of these cards using different coloured Dilberts' and they are all sooo cute !! So yes this image is a definate keeper. I love it !! I find boys cards are still such a challenge, afterall not alot of boys like fluff,sparkle and shine do they ? and if you added a flower Oh My !! lol

Kelleys Kids Challenge number 1

Over at Kelleys Kids they are starting their journey with a fantastic 'Anything Goes ' challenge. I adore Bonnas' images so i had to go and play along :O)

The light is none existant at the moment, so i appologise for the fairly dark photograph of my card. In natural light it is as it says on the card Loud ( bright lol) This fun image said this to me as soon as i saw it. So i went with my feelings and even put it in the sentiment..

My card was created by colouring the funtabulous image with Promarkers, i of course had to use abit of gold for sparkle !! Then wanted more sparkle so added the gems lol..

With my back to school image this week i decided to make my son a pocket timetable. We were lucky and received the timetable before he broke up for summer.. So it was perfect to make it now using the colab image.

Creative Craft World 'Anything BUT Birthdays'

At Creative Craft World we are challenging you to make 'Anything BUT Birthday cards' for this challenge. The challenge runs until 10pm on 5th August. So you have a few days to make any card that you like, as long as its not a Birthday card ;O) .

Can i now appologise for my photographs of my card. I have had to get a new camera after the battery door broke on mine :O( Well i am still trying to learn the settings lol... Some were too dark

and some were too light

The light one isnt too bad i suppose ? But it shows where i covered the window in glossy accents to be sooo wrinkly lol.. It really doesnt look that bad in 'real' life.. Guess thats what happens when i get a bright idea to make the glass window look like glass lol.

I cut out a shape on the front of the card using my nesties. So the actual image is on the inside of the card.. I chose the DP to give the effect of wallpaper as if i was sitting inside one window. Watching the girl sitting watching the rain whilst thinking.... Not sure if that actually comes across in my card/ picture.. But that was the feel i wanted to achieve..

For this weeks challenge i was asked to work with the super talented Oase from Panda Bear Designs.. I used her beautiful papers from her 'Chocolate valentines paper pack 1' available here.

This was such a fun card to create and i adore it.... I must admit this is the first time that i have HAD to decorate the inside of a card too... These papers and pixies just called to me to create... Its one of my favorite cards i have made..

Another super image !! Please excuse the handbag embellishment which says 'Just for you'. I simply was unable to take a decent photograph of it.

To make my card i used swirls DP , i embossed some paper too.. The pearls on both of my cards were made using liquid pearls.

Flowers are something that i dont really use that many of on my cards :O( No idea why... just guess im not a really flowery type of gal. ( Thats what happens when you live in a houseful of men, even the dog is a boy !)
So i must admit i had a little panic when i saw that the theme for this week was Flowers lol.
I was asked to work with June from Dezinaworld, So hoped that i could do her gorgeous images justice. As soon as i saw 'adorable' i knew that was what i had to use... Heres' my card.

The paper and embellishments were taken from Creative Craft Worlds' July subscrition kit... All i added was the natural raffia lace and Tea Dye Distress ink to the card blank.

I raised the image leaving room for the roses stems to sit beneath the image. I added glossy accents to all the red parts on the image and stickles to the large centre rose.

With the sun shining here in UK and the weather warming up. I always think that an 'Anything Goes' challenge is always good to catch up on those forgotten cards, make a start on the dreaded Christmas cards or get ahead on birthday cards that you have over the summer months. The choice is yours :O)

For this challenge i wanted to make an Anniversary card. I was so lucky to have Jess from Floppy Latte Designs as the creator i was to work with this week. So i just had to use her Music of Love silhouette. Its adorable and available to buy here.

Heres the card i made with Jess's gorgeous creation.

I printed out 2 of the images and layered up the image, well the people ;O). I them added 3 red flowers that i had received in a swap and i cut out the i love you using my cricut.... A nice simple ish card from me this week but its been one of those weeks here.. I am a new noonie ( grandma ) to a week old baby boy. My friend had a fall and has been hospitalized having surgery on her back and ive been poorly. With a bad throat and a headache :O( .. Hopefully next week i will be far more organised and wont fall behind on things... Until then i will send you all great big hugs and will try to visit all of your fantastic blogs to see your creations. Appologies if i didnt manage to get there last week

Before i start todays DT post can i just share some exciting news ?
I am a Noonie ( Grandma ) !!!!!! My eldest sons girlfriend gave birth to a perfect , gorgeous baby boy on 2nd July at 5.44pm GMT . He weighed 8lbs and is called Taylor David Alexander Saunders-Osbourne...
Photos will start to flood my blog and facebook page as soon as his aunties and grandad has been to see him.. Its fair to say i have fallen for the little guy !!! Hes adorable :O)

Oooh i am late with my posts this morning :O( ... So firstly an appology !!
Its been 'one of those days..

On to the fun....
Happy Christmas !!! ( in June ) Thats the new challenge over at Creative Craft World.. I remember thinking last year that a month was plenty to make all my cards. But then i had forgotten to add into that all the school events for the boys, extra time it takes to do the shopping ... Well i bet you have all been there ? right ? So i vowed that this year i would try to make a few cards each month... Well that hasnt happened as other things get in the way and you think 'oh well its a year away'.... Well heres a shock ! We are already half way there and if you are like me... You havent really started your cards !!!
So thats abit about where this challenge actually came from. I do know its' not really Christmas ;O)

My DT card

This image was one of those that just called to me .. Lollypoppy by the talented Barbara Jenson is sooo cute !!. You can buy her here.

I had great fun making this card... Now yes Lollypoppy isn't exactly an image with wings.. So to follow the theme i made a card with a wing ;O) You can just about make out by looking at the card that the image rectangle section is attatched on the left hand side of the card. Using a plain kraft card i wanted to add abit of a contrasting colour ( i didnt want to take away from the gorgeous image. So i used my MS punch to cut out butterflies and then used the band to decorate my card.. It goes without saying that i added a few gems ;O) Lollypoppy was coloured using my Promarkers and i used stickles and glossy accents ( As you do when you love shiney and bling ;O) )

My DT cards:

This week i used an image by The Stamping Boutique to make a tag/pocket fold card. I used my Promarkers, Stickles and glossy accents on the image. Then decorated the card with black card and firework paper to match the image. It just called out for gems to shine like the fireworks.... So thats just what i added ;O)

This Sunday i also have a card to share with you using an image from Stitchy Bear Stamps. Its using one from April from Reece's Scrap Pieces. Its called Greenthumb bear. Which is perfect for the card i wanted to make. With only 6 weeks left of the school year here in UK. I wanted to make a thankyou teacher card. So this is a Thankyou for helping me grow card. Complete with a pack of carrot seeds attatched to the back of the tag. The card has 2 pockets, one holds the tag and seeds whilst the other will have a picture of my son. ( Its empty at the moment).

Wow those 2 weeks flew by !! Its time for another Card Crazy challenge at Creative Craft World. It has been one of 'those' weeks here. Such a mixture of emotions are flying round and i am sure that over the next few weeks it will be the same..Lets hope that my mojo survives all this excitement ;O)

For my DT card this week I used a digi image that i have had for a while and found again the other day. I just had to use it for my card. Its Summer Baby by Mo Manning. Its a GORGEOUS digi and has bits included that you can, if you wish add to it.
My backing paper is a beautiful sunflower yellow paper that was designed by Angela of Toucan Scraps its available as part of a pack here.

Heres a close up of the fun image.

I coloured the image using my Promarkers and then i added glossy accents to the water to give a water effect. I used a few gems around the sentiment and then used 6x mini brads. The swim bands were raised off the card using foam squares. I thought it added abit more of a 3D effect to the arm bands.
I really do adore the gorgeous backing paper it will be used again and again for warm, sunny and happy cards.

My DT card

This week i was super lucky. My creator to work with this week was Angela from Toucan Scraps. I chose to use her fantastic Rainbow Bumper paper pack which is available to buy here. One of these papers just shouted summer to me... So the cloud/ blue skies paper had to be used. Its fantastic and looks just like a photograph,to me. Theres' 13 other papers in this pack too. All for $4 amazing value !!

This week i also got to work with (HRH Stitchyness) Stitchy and i used her fantastic Flip flops which is available here.

This week i made a Summer Journal...... A perfect way to recall the lazy days of summer when ... Schools out ;O)

I took a pre made journal then added Angelas' paper and Stitchys' Flip flops coloured in Promarkers. Of course i managed to use glossy accents and stickles on there too. The bunting was cut freehand. I used my cricut to get the word Summer and 2011. The flower for the bookmark was cut using my MS anywhere 'rose' punch and then i added some sunshine gems ;O)

I cant wait to stop by all your blogs and see your beautiful creations. Hopefully blogger will be nice to me this week and i will be able to leave comments instead of just being able to view your fantastic work..... Appologies if i havent managed to comment on your makes for this last week. I just cant understand why blogger isnt being nice to me,when it comes to leaving comments :O( Hopefully this week it will be better....

My DT cards

This week i was given a fantastic image by June from Dezinaworld. Its available when you spend $10 instore to get the FREE collab set.

What a fun image and sentiment.

The card was made using a scalloped 6x6 card. The DP was a sheet of bright yellow that i had i embossed it and then paper pieced some of it for the actual lemon. I used a foam tape to raise the 'skin' of the lemon slightly. With lemons being soooo juicy i added glossy accents to give the look of a juicy lemon, leaving the pithe and pips free from shine.
I inked around the edge of the die cut oval using distress ink in 'tea stain'. I also inked around the sentiment.
Finally i added a few gems .... just because ;O)

For this challenge we wanted another nice easy one for you :O) awwww arent we nice ? lol

To make my card i used 'In the Castle' that you can buy here.

Oooh it was such fun to make. The image is coloured with Promarkers and metalic pens. With added Stickles and glossy accents.. A sprinkle of gems and lots of love.

I coloured my punched ribbon and white flowers with Promarkers then added stickles to the flowers :O)

My DT cards :

First this week i have my card with an image by the fantastic OSAAT creator Priyanka from Gillu's Gallery. Its available to buy here.
To make my card i used lots of Gems, Metallic pens and mica powders. Not forgetting shiney ribbon and a touch of glossy accents.

My second card this week is a sponsor image from Digi's with attitude. Can you see my Royal wedding likeness ? Yes i did blonde hair not brown but have a look at that gorgeous ring she is wearing lol..
Its matched with a sparkly gem tiara, metalic pens and a quick dusting of mica powders. Then gems on the card corners. It was fun to make.

OSAAT........ Anything Goes

This week at One Stitch At A Time its a nice easy week .... Well its been such a hard week with Blogger playing up !!! Appologies if i didnt manage to get to leave a comment on your creation.

Anyway back to the challenge , as i said a nice easy one ........ Anything Goes :O)

My DT cards:
This week ive taken 1 image to make 2 creations. I am sure that a few of us have downloaded an image with a specific idea in mind. Then wondered how we can change the image just by use of colour.. Well here ive made a normal colours card to make a New Home Card. Then i stepped outside the box and changed the colours of things. i.e green clouds and sky with a purple and pink tree ;O) . I needed a funky card for a 9 year old girl, so think that it worked rather well. :O)

The image i worked with this week was Treehouse with Bridge. By the fantastic Hope Jacare Doodles.
The image was fantastic to colour and i cant wait to use it again to see what other creations i can make.

I coloured both images with my Promarkers and then added my favorite Stickles and glossy accents ;O) . A sprinkle of a few gems and lots of love.

I hope that you have enjoyed your visit to my part of cyberspace this week . I cant wait to visit yours. Lets hope that Blogger is nice to us all this week ;O)

At Creative Craft World its time for another Card Crazy Challenge

This time it was my turn to pick a theme. So i decided to be kind and make it a nice easy theme ;O)

So thats any card, so long as it is NOT square :O)

My DT cards :

I made this stepper card using the cupcake collection. Of course it needed abit of sparkle so i used stickles and glossy accents ;O) The yummy cupcakes were coloured using my Promarkers.

For my second card i made a tall deckle edged card using this scrummy looking sundae. The sundae glass must be filled with choccy ice cream and just a smidge of Strawberry ontop. A sundae isnt a sundae without cream and of course a cherry/ or strawberry ;O)

The glossy accents and stickles paid a visit to the sundae that was coloured with my Promarkers. I added a choccy ribbon and kept my card to scrummy ice cream colours

This week i was asked to work with Angela from Toucan Scraps. Well its spring.. so i had to use Angelas new fantastic range of daffodils and silhouettes all are available to buy here. I do love this range and it works together perfectly.. I used 2 papers and 2 silhouettes to make my card.

I used a 6x6 scalloped card blank. The DP is 2 pieces of the same design in 2 colourways. I used a brad, organza ribbon, buttons, gems, stickles and glossy accents. Wow thats a list !! lol

This image was a total delight to colour.

My DT card.

This week ive been soo lucky to be able to choose an image from the' Big boss lady, HRH Stitchyness ;O)'
As soon as i saw 'Our Father' i had a few ideas for cards that would be perfect for this image... I always really struggle to make sympathy cards. Now i have found this image, no more will i struggle. I believe its the perfect image.

To make my card i used a pale purple card blank, cream stardream card which i embossed using my divine swirls folder. I coloured the fantastic image using my Promarkers. The daisy trim that i used was from a piece that my mom gave me and of course i had to add a few gems to make the card shine ;O)
