Happy Birthday Dwight

On Wednesday 28th July my eldest was 20 !!! oooh yes i do feel old LOL.

Here is the card i made for him.

I used an 8x8 card blank from craftwork cards.

The card had to have some of his favorite colours on which are blue and silver/ So i used my cuttlebug stars and happy birthday folders. Then used my cricut to cut SON and 20. The image is very apt for most teenagers lol. It was coloured with Promarkers and i used glossy accents for the glass effect on the 'pint'.

This one was made with cuttlebug and cupcakes paper.. Again it was blue and silver ;o) It was a really quick and easy card to make. I think it looks quite effective.. So it may make another appearance on here. Only jiggled about abit and a different name :o)

Below is a picture of a few party goers that came to celebrate with him. It was taken at 11.55 pm , so some of them had gone home for work the next day LOL.

(Can i just add that the little ones are mine also ;o) so they had to be there celebrating with his big brother) A good night was had by all.... The last guest left at 4am !!!

Fantasy LO

Over at Scrapping with I did it Creations their challenge number 3 is to create a fantasty LO.

Well mine ( like a few other womens ) would have to be Chocolate ! In any form LOL

See the connection with me and chocolate ? Chocolate Orange ( Choccy) Its not Terrys its mine ( In reference to the Terrys chocolate orange ad ;o) ) Yes im a chocoholic :o)

For my LO i used a backing paper with pictures of Chocolate chip cookies. Then i cut up a sheet of receipes and attatched that. I used chocolate colour papers and Chocolate drop card candy. My cricut came in handy to cut out my title ' Choccy Biccies'. I added a charm which is a chocolate bar ;o)

Can i appologies for a basic LO. This is only the second one i have ever done.

OSAAT Challenge # 22

My card this week is made using digi papers from Crafty Chaos Designs
This is the Wedding Trends digi pack. Which i have used 2 papers from. I also have used a digi stamp from the 'lost love' stamps. In the paper pack theres another 4 sheets ( so thats 6 in total) and another 2 stamps to play with.. I cant wait to try out the others that i have downloaded with the packs.
For me these all fitted together perfectly. The only thing that i have added to the black card blank ( other than these fanatstic papers and digi stamp) Is 10 little gems !! I really dont think it needed anything else.

Ive started my christmas cards

Ive just realised that its not actually that long until Christmas ( Its actually 23 weeks today !) Oh my !! wish i wouldnt of just worked that out !!! What a scary thought.....
Heres one ive made for my cousin and his twin boys.
The image is one of the new Lili of the valley ones that have just been released. It was so hard being good and limiting myself ( But im proud to say i was a good girl and only got 4) This one is called 3 Wee boys and its sooo cute.

Happy Anniversary

This week Mum asked me to make a wedding anniversary card for her friends. Oh yipee ! it fit in great with a challenge over at Tuesday Taggers
I took the colours i used from the image.Which i mounted onto gold card. Then onto embossed bazzil basics. The flower ish embellishment was made up from punching my MS frond punch then colouring the 'frond's gold and using a card candy as the centre.

Pretty in pink

I just had to use this image for this card. I really love it. I coloured it with my Promarkers and added stickles to her wings.I raised the image by using foam squares.This helped with it sitting over the distressed black card. I added some flowers and some gems for added sparkle.

Christmas card season.

Heres my first Christmas card of the year. Its using an absolutely GORGEOUS image by Mo Manning.. Isnt it sooo sweet ? I coloured the image with Promarkers and added stickles to the furry bit of their coats. The image was backed onto a piece of Christmassy blue paper with snowflakes on it. I ran a piece of acetate through my cuttlebug in my snowflakes folder, which is something i havent tried before. I put a few buttons and a snowflake charm ontop so it would finish the card off.

Creative Craft World ..Holidays Challenge

Well its time for another fun challenge over at Creative Craft World. This time Holidays are in the air. Now it was Mels' turn to pick the challenge this time. So another brief we were given was to think out side our comfort zone.. I must say the DT have come up with some great projects and i cant wait to see all the enteries to this challenge. The prize is a set of seasons Promarkers. So summer,autumn, winter and spring... ( Wish the DT could enter ! you can never have too many promarkers. Can you ? )We were very lucky and each got to work with some of the new Echo Park Sweet Summertime papers. They are soooo gorgeous !!. You can buy then here you can also buy the Walk in the park which a equally gorgeous.


So heres my holidays enspired things.





I made a summer holiday planner for Ben.
This year is a milestone in his life.
He moves from primary to secondary education. So i wanted to mark this is some way. Hense the planner. ( He did say it was abit girly with the ribbon lol but said i could share it with him...bless LOL)




It has a huge diary section in there with plenty of space for photos and mementos.



It comes with 4 corner of the page bookmarks which were made with the journal paper cards. I also made a page mark. attatched to the spine in co ordinating ribbons ( So that he can pop it inside and knows where hes up too) The corner bookmarks were very easy to make. I will construct a little tutorial for you all.




I can wait to start finding him activities to fill out the 7 week planner at the start. I decided to include the last week of school. They have a prom this year and a trip all in the last week !! So very busy.. It also includes the 1st week back at his new Technology college... Which i might just add he is VERY VERY excited about.



I usually have a notebook that has things listed in it for Wet days, Dry days and Days out. For the times that we get 'im bored ' and 'ive got nothing to do' Usually after the first week ( some parents out there will feel my pain with this one lol) So at the back of the book i have a section called .....What to do.
I took 3 pages for wet days , distressed the edges in blue and wrote wet days.. Yellow for dry days and red for days out. Again just so it was easier to find. (I live in a houseful of men.That if things dont jump into their hands they cant find it LOL)




I also made/altered a flip flop box... The first one i did flopped. So now they are called flip flopped boxes hehe. I used my failed one to take a template and made the second one. Although i decorated it differently then it didnt flop ;o)
Ive bought a bag charm for his teacher so i wanted somewhere to put it so it looked different. Hense the flopped box. I originally wanted to make 2 as he has a favorite teacher. But im just getting over pink fingers !! So the next one i make will be in double sided thick card. Hres abit of a close up of it.

I absolutely loved this forever friends image but never got round to using it. I backed it onto pink card that i have cut the corners with my MS punch.Then onto a blingy cream card to bring out the colour of the bears. Then it all was placed onto a blue card ( Well blue for boys and i didnt want to leave the groom out ;o) ) As the card had abit of silver foiling on it i added abit of gem 'bling'.

Cards for men #13

Over at Cards for men its challenge #13 time and a sketch





Heres my take on the sketch.


I used a fabby new male stamp i bought.I thought he would be perfect for the hard male years lol.Hes coloured with my promarkers and has glossy accents on his 'pint'. The backing paper was a sheet of blue paper that i had.I folded the top corner back and added a sentiment in place of the embellishment. I then distressed a scrap cut off of coordinations card that i had, then finished off with 3 green card candy pieces from Craftwork cards.

My first DT card for OSAAT

Well here its is my first DT card for the brilliant OSAAT challenge blog.




I used a digi image from Sew Many Cards. Isnt she just sooooo sweet ? It was a pleasure to make my card using this image. She was so easy to colour and the different elements all seemed to fit together for me... Which is always a good thing !.
I used my Cuttlebug to emboss baby pink paper with Divine swirls. I thought that folder fitted with the swirly clouds. The image was coloured with my Promarkers then i added stickles , glossy accents and a gem to the image. The image was backed onto Gold matt card and then onto the embossed paper. I finished the card with ribbon threaded through some lace i had in my stash and lots of gems.


I loved making my card soooo much. That i made another :o) Using the same image of course
